The church, beset on all sides by scandal, is hemorrhaging money and members. Ray (Michael Rodrick) takes Grace (Merle Dandridge) to court for custody of Sophia (Desiree Ross). Jacob's (Lamman Rucker) offers to help at Calvary are declined. Kevin (Tye White) gets closer to Adrian (guest star Gary Weeks).
Calvary, beset on all sides by scandal, is hemorrhaging money and members. The bishop's latest sermon was delivered to empty pews. Deacon Sykes puts pressure on the bishop to either reinstate Jacob or put Grace back on the pulpit, who she believes has a good chance of bringing back the congregation.
Elsewhere, Jacob's offers to help at Calvary are declined. Feeling spurned by the bishop, he goes to Basie Skanks looking for a job. At first, Basie is taken off guard, but he quickly warms up to Jacob's proposal. He'll agrees to give him a prominent position--but first he'll need the bishop's approval.
Meanwhile, Ray takes Grace to court for custody of Sophia, and Kevin begins getting closer to Adrian and may be moving a few inches closer to telling Charity the truth.
