AceShowbiz - Actress Piper Perabo has been injured following an accident on the set of her TV show "Covert Affairs". The "Coyote Ugly" star was involved in an incident while filming on location in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday, August 18 which left her with a knee injury, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports she is receiving treatment and will suffer no long term damage. Despite the injury, Perabo has something to celebrate about. USA Network has renewed the show for a second season because it stands out in its Tuesdays slot and is the top new series of the year in adults 18-49.

"Cover Affairs" follows Annie Walker (Perabo) who is fluent six languages, has traveled all over the world and is besting her fellow CIA trainees in every test, but that doesn't explain why she's suddenly summoned by CIA headquarters to report for active duty as a field operative a month before her training is over.
