Billie Piper Recalls Her Experience Post Having Emergency Cesarean
Celebrity

Billie Piper admits that at first, she was quite desperate when left by her husband alone, but now she thanks God the 'suffering' has made her developing a strong bond with her son.

AceShowbiz - British actress Billie Piper was bedbound following the birth of her son by emergency Cesarean - and she's sure the time helped her bond with little Winston. The "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" star and her husband Laurence Fox welcomed the tot in October 2008.

The actor was working during Winston's first few weeks, leaving Piper alone at their home in the English countryside to bring up the baby. And although the 27 year old was still in pain from the traumatic birth, she's grateful for the time she had alone with her newborn son.

She says, "(I was) feeling a bit desperate. Laurence was filming when I first had Winston. I'd had an emergency Cesarean and I could barely walk. I was alone in the country with a newborn baby for three weeks."

She adds, "I'm actually grateful for that time now. It forced me to be in bed with my child. And really that was the only time that I was still, with baby, without distractions or confusion. It was just the two of us. You sleep when they sleep and feed when they feed."
