Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that Scary Movie – Extended Cut will be available to buy or rent on digital starting tomorrow, July 21, 2026. The new version promises more laughs, more madness, and all-new scenes for a franchise that has never met a line it wouldn't cross.

Twenty-six years after the original massacre, Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray get dragged back into the chaos by a brand-new masked killer who clearly never learned when to quit. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall reunite, alongside returning favorites, for an outrageous return to the franchise's original roots, where every target is fair game.

The Extended Cut is directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez. The cast also includes Teyana Taylor, Kenan Thompson, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Carmen Electra, Kim Wayans, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Damon Wayans Jr., Heidi Gardner, and many more.

In addition to the Extended Cut, the digital release includes the Original Theatrical Cut, a never-before-seen alternate ending, and several featurettes. The bonus content features reunion interviews with Marlon and Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall, as well as behind-the-scenes looks at the movie's most outrageous set pieces.

Featurettes include "Scream Together," where the original crew reflects on the franchise that redefined parody; "Fresh Meat," introducing the new cast; "Wayans World," showcasing Marlon, Shawn, and Gregg Wayans breaking each other on set; and "Scene Dissection," going inside the most unhinged moments.

The official trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse of the chaos. The film is unrated and distributed by Paramount Pictures. A soundtrack album is also available on Lakeshore Records.
