He was booked and released but was arrested again two days later for burglary in Windham, New Hampshire. Police found him smoking a cigarette on a couch inside a home with a shattered glass door, after a woman reported a break-in and hid in a closet during the incident.

Cher’s petition emphasizes that because Allman is currently detained in a psychiatric hospital, the request does not seek conservatorship over his person at this time. However, the documents argue that the facts surrounding his situation demonstrate his inability to manage his finances and attest to him being gravely disabled. The petition suggests that a more comprehensive conservatorship concerning his personal care would be appropriate once he is back in California.

The court filings also mention that Allman receives an annual trust payment of $120,000 established by his father.
