Former CBS and ViacomCBS exec Marc DeBevoise named president of OverDrive, operator of Kanopy, Libby, and Sora digital platforms.

AceShowbiz - Marc DeBevoise, a veteran executive formerly with CBS and ViacomCBS, has been appointed as the new president of OverDrive, the company behind popular streaming and digital reading platforms.
OverDrive partners with libraries and educational institutions, operating the Kanopy video streaming service along with the e-book platforms Libby and Sora. This move positions DeBevoise at the forefront of digital media distribution in educational and public sectors.
DeBevoise played an instrumental role in launching CBS All Access and other digital streaming initiatives during his tenure at CBS Interactive and ViacomCBS Digital, where he rose to CEO roles. ViacomCBS was later rebranded as Paramount. Following this, he served as CEO of the video technology company BrightCove from 2022 until 2025.
As president of OverDrive, DeBevoise will guide the company’s efforts to expand its digital content offerings and strengthen its relationships with libraries and schools.
