AceShowbiz - Doc has officially been renewed by Fox for a third season slated for 2026-27. The medical drama, starring Molly Parker, will return with a full 22-episode order, continuing the success it has enjoyed so far. This renewal comes shortly after Fox extended its other medical series, Best Medicine, which serves as the Tuesday night lead-in for Doc.

Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn praised the series for becoming a breakout hit for the network. He highlighted Doc’s impressive multiplatform audience growth, noting its strong performance across Fox, Hulu, Netflix, and international markets. Thorn credited the show's momentum to the outstanding creative leadership of showrunners Hank Steinberg and Barbie Kligman, the collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, and the compelling, nuanced performance of Molly Parker, who he said "gives the series its soul."

The cast of Doc also features Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker, Charlotte Fountain-Jardim, and Felicity Huffman. Katherine Pope, president of Sony Pictures Television Studios, expressed excitement about continuing the partnership with Fox’s leadership team, including Rob Wade and Michael Thorn. She emphasized the series’ powerful storytelling and highlighted the exceptional writing from Steinberg and Kligman, as well as Parker’s standout central performance.

Since its premiere, Doc has experienced substantial growth in viewership. As of January 27, the show is averaging 7.3 million multi-platform viewers, which is more than triple the 2.35 million average it initially attracted in its first airing. The first 11 episodes of the current season have all ranked among Fox’s top 20 multi-platform telecasts for the season, excluding live sports, based on weekly viewing data.

Doc is an adaptation of an Italian series and is produced jointly by Fox Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. The showrunners, Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg, also serve as executive producers along with Erwin Stoff, Russell Fine, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Carol Barbee, and David Foster.
