This adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s novel features a star-studded cast led by Jennifer Garner, who also serves as an executive producer.
Jennifer Garner joined the project in January 2025 and stars as Hollis Shaw, a renowned chef and bestselling author grappling with the aftermath of a profound personal loss. The show’s narrative unfolds as Hollis attempts to heal by inviting three longtime friends, representing different chapters of her life—from childhood through her thirties—plus a surprise guest, to a weekend getaway at her Nantucket home. Set against a luxurious coastal backdrop, the series promises emotional growth, boundary-pushing, and the unveiling of hidden secrets among the group.
Alongside Garner, the series features performances from D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant. Recurring and guest roles include Rob Huebel, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, West Duchovny, Judy Greer, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez.
The production is handled by Universal Studio Group's UCP, with Bekah Brunstetter—known for her work on Sirens and Maid—serving as the series creator and showrunner. Executive producers include Beth Schacter, director Minkie Spiro, Garner, Sue Naegle, Ali Krug of Dinner Party Productions, Elin Hilderbrand, and Merri Howard.
Peacock has also released several promotional images showcasing the ensemble cast, highlighting key characters such as Hollis Shaw (played by Jennifer Garner), Brooke (played by D’Arcy Carden), Dru-Ann (Regina Hall), Tatum (Chloë Sevigny), and Gigi (Gemma Chan).
