- April 11, 2026
AceShowbiz - Lauren Neustadter, President of Film & TV at Hello Sunshine, recently spoke with Deadline about upcoming projects from the production company. This conversation coincided with the conclusion of the second season of Apple TV and Hello Sunshine's drama series The Last Thing He Told Me.
The discussion touched on several exciting developments, including new television adaptations and film projects. Among them is the highly anticipated feature adaptation of Kristin Hannah's bestselling novel The Nightingale. The film is currently in production in Budapest, marking a significant milestone for the project.
This adaptation experienced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2023 Hollywood labor strikes, which disrupted its initial planned theatrical release for Christmas 2020. Despite these challenges, the project has regained momentum, with both Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning still attached to star as they have been since 2019. Additionally, new creative collaborators have joined the team behind the film.
The Nightingale was also a Reese Witherspoon Book Club selection in March 2023, highlighting its continued cultural relevance and appeal. Beyond this film, Neustadter previewed other upcoming Hello Sunshine television series, including adaptations titled Elle and Lucky, further expanding the company’s slate of book-based and original content.
As Hello Sunshine continues to develop diverse stories for both the small and big screens, audiences can anticipate a mix of compelling narratives and strong performances from notable talent such as Jennifer Garner and Anya Taylor-Joy, who are involved in these new projects.
