AceShowbiz - The K-pop group Enhypen is undergoing a lineup change as member Heeseung announces his departure to pursue a solo career.
On Tuesday, March 10, Belift Lab, the sub-label under Hybe responsible for the group's management, officially revealed the news. After extensive reflection on the group's future and individual goals, discussions with each member highlighted that Heeseung has a unique musical vision that the company has chosen to support.
Despite Heeseung's exit, Enhypen will continue as a six-member ensemble, while he prepares for his upcoming solo album under Belift Lab. In a heartfelt message addressed to the group's dedicated fanbase, Engene, Heeseung shared his feelings about the decision.
Posting on Instagram, Heeseung expressed his gratitude for the six years spent with Enhypen, describing the time as "overwhelming and precious beyond words." He thanked his fellow members for the shared experiences and the fans for their unwavering support, emphasizing his desire to continue backing Enhypen from a new perspective.
He explained that after long contemplation, he decided to take this path in alignment with the direction suggested by the company, focusing more on personal projects. "There were a lot of things I wanted to show, but I also didn't want to put my greed ahead of the team," he admitted, promising to work hard to return to fans as soon as possible.
Before concluding his letter, Heeseung acknowledged the impact of Engene’s love and concern, apologizing for any surprise or worry his announcement may have caused. He underscored the importance of fans’ care throughout his career, stating that he will carry their support forward in his journey.
This development marks the first alteration in Enhypen's lineup since their 2020 debut, which came through the competitive survival show I-Land. The group recently released their mini album The Sin : Vanish in January, which remains their latest project as a full seven-member team.
