AceShowbiz - Noah Kahan recently announced a highly anticipated North American stadium tour to support his forthcoming fourth album, The Great Divide. The tour has already sold out, highlighting the strong bond Kahan has built with his audience through his music and live performances.
Michael Yerke, a global tour promoter at Live Nation, which is managing the tour, emphasizes Kahan’s dedication to the fan experience. "He is always intentional about the fan experience, making thoughtful decisions to ensure fans can access and enjoy his shows,” Yerke says. This commitment is evident in the innovative steps Kahan and his team have taken to make ticket purchasing fair and accessible for fans.
For The Great Divide tour, Kahan partnered with Ticketmaster to implement two key programs aimed at improving ticket sales and reducing fraud. One of these is an identity verification system called Persona, which requires multiple forms of identification to block potential scammers. Notably, Kahan became the first artist to use Persona verification during the presale signup, setting a new precedent for stadium tours.
In addition, Kahan is utilizing Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange program. This initiative caps the resale price of tickets at their original purchase price, preventing inflated ticket costs and additional fees. Since its inception in 2019, the program has been adopted by prominent artists such as Hayley Williams, Billie Eilish, and Foo Fighters.
Drew Simmons, Kahan’s manager and a partner at Foundations, underscores the artist’s fan-first approach. "Noah’s priority has always been the fans. I’m proud to work with an artist that is willing to take risks and lead the way by implementing these new security measures, a first at stadium scale,” Simmons states.
Simmons also highlights the effort to keep ticket prices reasonable. Floor seats for the tour start at $150, including fees, while a lottery was conducted for general admission pit tickets priced at $100, including fees. These measures demonstrate the team’s commitment not only to combating bots and scalpers but also to maintaining affordability for fans.
Kahan’s connection with his audience is described as meaningful, and ticket demand has been exceptional. Simmons notes that the team is already exploring further ways to enhance the fan experience in future tours.
Beyond the tour, Kahan continues his advocacy for mental health through The Busyhead project, which he launched in 2023. The initiative has raised over $5.5 million to date, reflecting Kahan’s dedication to impactful causes alongside his music career. This ongoing commitment aligns with the themes of The Great Divide and enriches his relationship with fans on and off the road.
