AceShowbiz - Tame Impala has unveiled an exciting new remix of his track ‘Dracula’, featuring the talented JENNIE from BLACKPINK.
The original song was highlighted as the third single from Tame Impala’s fifth studio album, Deadbeat, which made its debut last October. Now, as one of his first releases of the year, Kevin Parker has collaborated with K-Pop sensation JENNIE for a fresh take on this popular track.
While the remix stays true to the essence of the original, it introduces the enchanting vocal stylings of JENNIE about midway through the song, adding a new layer of depth and allure. Fans can listen to the remix below.
Deadbeat received a three-star rating from NME upon its release, with the review commenting on how “Parker has ventured beyond his usual boundaries, yet sometimes falls into a lyrical inertia that hampers his evolving musical language.”
Following the album's launch, Tame Impala kicked off an extensive tour across the United States, and he has announced plans to bring this tour to the UK and Europe in the upcoming spring season.
Planned stops include the O2 Arena in London on May 7, followed by performances in Manchester (May 8), Birmingham (May 9), Glasgow (May 11), and Dublin (May 13). For ticket information, fans can visit the respective links for European and UK shows.
The Australian artist has cited influences such as Deftones, Silverchair, and Queens Of The Stone Age in shaping his musical style. Recently, he also took home the Grammy award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for his track ‘End Of Summer’ at the previous weekend's ceremony.
In addition to his solo work, Tame Impala will be featured alongside prominent artists like A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, and Lil Yachty on Thundercat’s upcoming album, Distracted, which marks his return after a six-year hiatus.
As for JENNIE, the K-Pop star has a series of solo performances lined up for summer events such as Mad Cool and Governors Ball to promote her latest solo album, Ruby, released in 2025.
Additionally, JENNIE is actively working on new music with BLACKPINK, with the group set to release their new mini-album DEADLINE later this month, serving as a follow-up to their successful 2022 project, Born Pink.
