AceShowbiz - Stephen King's works have been adapted countless times over the years, and now another one of his stories is being developed for the big screen. Stephen King's short story Mister Yummy, which was first released in 2015 as part of The Bazaar of Bad Dreams collection, will be turned into a movie by Intrinsic Value Films. According to Deadline, Troy Blake will write the script and Thomas Mahoney will produce the film.

Mister Yummy tells a haunting tale about a senior citizen named Ollie Franklin who must uniquely deal with mortality. He's confronted with an avatar that signals the end of his life, but this avatar shows up in the form of Mister Yummy, a man Ollie once met at a New York dance club when he was younger. His friend Dave Calhoun questions Ollie's sanity after hearing about the avatar, but shocking twists and turns force Dave to confront his own past.

Intrinsic Value Films co-founder Aimee Schoof said that she can't wait to expand the company's brand with its upcoming projects, including Mister Yummy, a Gene Wilder biopic, and The Story of Wham-O. While several of Stephen King's stories have been adapted for the big and small screen multiple times over the years, including Carrie, IT, The Shining, Pet Sematary, Salem's Lot, The Mist, and The Stand, Mister Yummy is a unique and captivating tale that will surely leave audiences on the edge of their seats. As the project is still in its early development stages, a director and cast members have not been announced yet, but with Intrinsic Value Films at the helm, fans can expect a high-quality adaptation of Stephen King's work.
