AceShowbiz - Since going public with her relationship with LePrince, a 38-year-old Reggatronic Hard Dance musician, 58-year-old Cynthia Bailey says life has become more complicated. It's "a mess," she said.
In an interview with TMZ, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star explained the significant changes, "Now, we can't go anywhere, but you know what? The cat is out of the bag."
Although her new relationship is now out in the open, she strives to keep a low profile on social media because those platforms tend to be "very toxic."
She also emphasized the importance of getting to know each other away from the public eye, stating, "I've been through marriages, through divorces, and I've met someone I really like, and I just really want a fair chance to just kind of get to know him, not in a public way."
Bailey and LePrince's relationship became public after they were spotted together at Los Angeles International Airport. TMZ managed to capture the moment, leading to further public interest.
One interesting aspect of their relationship is how they managed to keep it under wraps for nearly a year before going public. Bailey shared that their status as public figures taught them to "move quietly" and "pick and choose where to go."
However, she clarified that they weren't trying to hide from the world but were cautious about where they appeared together. "I wouldn't have brought him on a red carpet back then," Bailey explained.
Speaking at the Better Brothers Los Angeles Truth Awards, Bailey shared that while her relationship status has made life more hectic, it has also freed them from the constraints of secrecy.
"It's kind of a relief, because now we can just really be outside and not worry about like ducking anyone," she commented. The former reality star also noted that while she sometimes avoids online platforms, she has no regrets about going public.
Despite the pressures, Bailey remains optimistic about the future, saying, "We're happy and excited to see where our relationship goes!"
The couple has taken frequent trips together, including visits to Amsterdam and Switzerland, further deepening their bond.
