AceShowbiz - Lady Gaga is officially joining the cast of the hit Netflix series "Wednesday." While details about her exact role remain under wraps, the show's star Jenna Ortega recently dropped some intriguing hints during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"There's definitely dances in the show," Ortega teased, adding to the anticipation. "I'm not saying anything about her character though! Let her be incredible and amazing. She's great in the show and I don't think she's what people expect her to be."
This casting news comes two years after Gaga's song "Bloody Mary" became a viral sensation on TikTok, thanks to a trend inspired by the first season of "Wednesday." The buzz began when a scene featuring Ortega, who plays the titular character Wednesday Addams, dancing to The Cramps' 1981 single "Goo Goo Muck" went viral.
Fans quickly began editing the scene to Gaga's music, sparking a wave of TikTok users re-creating the choreography. Gaga herself joined in on the fun by trying out the dance moves in a December video.
Discussing her experience working with Gaga, Ortega shared her admiration during an interview with Access Hollywood at SXSW. "I love working with Gaga," she said. "I've had the pleasure of seeing her a couple of times now, and she has only ever been unbelievably sweet and just precious."
Ortega went on to describe the unique experience of collaborating with someone of Gaga's caliber. "It's insane to see someone with such a bold persona and just bursting with this incredible, unachievable talent for most - but also be able to hear them say 'Cut,' Tim Burton saying 'Cut,' and having a normal conversation [with her] about what you had for breakfast. It's super strange and I'm incredibly grateful," she added.
With these glowing remarks and the electric combination of Gaga's star power and the dark, whimsical world of "Wednesday," fans have every reason to be excited. While we await more details about Gaga's role, one thing is certain: her presence will make the second season of "Wednesday" a must-watch event.
