The legendary country music performers have decided to postpone their show at Texas Tech University after a dramatic underground explosion disrupted life on campus.

AceShowbiz - Country music fans in Lubbock, Texas, were left in suspense following an unexpected turn of events that led to the rescheduling of Brooks & Dunn's concert. The performance, initially slated for March 13 at United Supermarkets Arena, has been moved to March 20 due to a disruptive explosion and fire at Texas Tech University.

The incident, which occurred on the evening of March 12, resulted in power outages and campus evacuations.

According to Texas Tech president Lawrence Schovanec, "An explosion occurred in a tunnel, causing a fire. The fire spread, leading to outages on the Texas Tech campus. Electricity and gas were shut down across both the Texas Tech and Health Sciences Center campuses in Lubbock to keep the fire from spreading further."

The fire was eventually extinguished, but the disruption led university officials to cancel classes for the remainder of the week. Students were allowed back into on-campus housing to collect their belongings before leaving for Spring Break, which started the following Monday.

Brooks & Dunn's rescheduled concert will still honor all previously purchased tickets, and additional tickets remain available for the new date on the AXS website. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase for those unable to attend on March 20.

The explosion at Texas Tech caused significant concern, but thankfully, no injuries have been reported. University police and firefighters worked diligently to ensure safety, with multiple manholes emitting fire or smoke leading to proactive power shutdowns to investigate a potential gas leak. Photos and videos from the incident showed dramatic green flames amidst the chaos.
