AceShowbiz - Teddi Mellencamp's loved ones gave an update on the star's condition following an emergency surgery. As "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum is recovering, the family let fans know that the reality TV star is grateful for the support she's received.
Her estranged husband Edwin Erroyave wrote on Instagram, thanked well-wishers for the the outpouring of love, "Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes."
Justice Mellencamp, Teddi's sister, also took to Instagram to share a photo of her visit to hospital. "Watching a loved one suffer is horrific," she wrote, adding that Teddi is "by far the strongest person I know."
Teddi, the daughter of John Mellencamp, announced her battle with multiple brain tumors on February 12. She had been experiencing severe headaches for several weeks, leading to a CT scan and MRI and eventually her diagnosis.
The surgery was to remove two tumors while the remaining smaller ones will be treated with radiation later. The procedure was a success, according to Edwin, but Teddi has a tough recovery. "I've never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain," he dished on. "She's finally getting some needed rest."
The brain tumors came just two years after Teddi's struggle with stage 2 melanoma, a severe form of skin cancer. Over the course of her struggle with melanoma, she underwent 16 surgeries, highlighting the gravity of her health journey.
Just two months ago, she received a biopsy-free skin check. "It's the first time, and over two years, I've gone in for my three-month check and not had to have a biopsy," she emotionally said on Instagram.
