Cops intervened, pulling the plug on his PA system and bringing the impromptu concert to a halt. The disruption was captured by fans on video and shared widely on social media, sparking mixed reactions.
Sheeranthan took to Instagram to address the incident, insisting his team had secured permission for the street performance. "We had permission to busk btw, hence us playing in that exact spot, was planned out before, it wasn't just us randomly turning up," he wrote before adding, "All good though. See ya at the show tonight x."
During his stay in India, Sheeran also engaged in various local activities. Posting on Instagram, he shared snippets of his cultural immersion, including a sittar lesson with Megha Rawoot. His tour schedule will take him to other Indian cities like Shillong, Delhi NCR, and Pune, but Bengaluru received special attention with two back-to-back performances due to high demand for tickets.
Reflecting on his experiences and connection with Indian audiences, Sheeran gushed, "Every time I come back to India, it feels even more thrilling. Back in 2014, I had no idea my music had such a strong following here."
