Guthrie revisited that cringe-worthy moment when dropping by Andy Cohen's SiriusXM show "Radio Andy."

"There had been these stories circulating in the press that her father, Robert Kardashian, wasn't really her father," Guthrie explained. "But I know the producers at the time - none of whom are here today - really wanted me to ask, and I was very embarrassed to ask such a question."

Guthrie, reflecting on her naivety as a "green anchor," chose to wait until the final moments of the segment to pose the uncomfortable question. She explained, "At the Today show, we have a thing called the 'hard out,' and the 'hard out' means you have to be done. The show is going to black at such and such time."

With only ten seconds remaining, Guthrie nervously asked, "Khloé, just real quickly, in the seconds we have, there have been some stories that Robert Kardashian is not your father. Is he?"

To Guthrie's relief, Khloé Kardashian handled the question with grace. "And God bless her - if I saw her today, I'd hug her for this - I don't know if she's such a pro that she saw them counting down, like three, two … and she said, 'Yep, I know. Nothing to it.' And I was like, 'And we'll be right back'," Guthrie recalled, thanking Khloe for "saving" her from further awkwardness.

Despite Kardashian's poise on live television, rumors about her paternity have persisted. Khloé has addressed these claims multiple times, including a direct tweet in 2017 where she wrote, "People are a**holes but I don't care lol I focus on the good. I'm happy and they hatin'."

O.J. Simpson also commented on the allegations during an interview on the "Full Send" podcast in December 2022. "The rumor ain't true. It's not even anywhere close to being true," he asserted. Though he admitted to finding Khloé's mother, Kris Jenner, attractive, Simpson emphasized he was dating supermodels at the time.
