With homes turning to ashes and neighborhoods vanishing, Hilary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma offer sanctuary to Mandy Moore's family during the devastating LA wildfires.

AceShowbiz - Hilary Duff proves to be an exceptional friend during a severe crisis as she opens her home to Mandy Moore's family, who were forced to evacuate due to the terrifying wildfires tearing through Los Angeles. Griffin Goldsmith, the brother of Moore's husband Taylor Goldsmith and bandmate in Dawes, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Duff and husband Matthew Koma for their immense generosity.

In an emotional Instagram post, Griffin shared how his family, including his wife Kit, lost their homes in the Altadena area of Los Angeles County. "They've taken care of my entire family from the moment this began," Griffin wrote, highlighting the support they received from Duff and Koma. "I will never be able to thank them adequately."

The tormenting fires not only took their homes but also disrupted their close-knit community. "We had convinced our whole family and closest friends to join us in Altadena. Our parents were around the corner. They lost their house as well. Taylor and Mandy are just down the street," he detailed. The pain of losing their homes was overshadowed by the sorrow of witnessing their community disappear.

To assist Griffin and the rest of the family during this tragedy, Duff and Koma also initiated a GoFundMe campaign which has raised more than $204,000.

Moore faced criticism for sharing the fundraising link, prompting her to respond sharply, "Kindly F OFF." She affirmed that her family was contributing financially despite internet speculation about their wealth.

Moore, who has three young children - August "Gus" Harrison, 3, Oscar "Ozzie" Bennett, 2, and 3-month-old Louise Everett - mentioned that the main part of their home had remained standing but was not livable while her husband-in-law "lost everything."

"8 years of memories made in our house. 20 years of gear. My wife @quintessentiallykit was applying the finishing touches to the nursery for our baby boy who's due in a few weeks," Griffin noted in another post, illustrating the devastating losses.

The fires continue to rage, transforming beloved neighborhoods into unrecognizable landscapes. Amidst this raging inferno, the acts of kindness from friends like Duff and Koma provide a glimmer of hope and relief, demonstrating the power of community and selflessness in the face of unprecedented challenges.
