AceShowbiz - Christina Applegate and her podcast co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigler were outraged over people who have made disparaging comments about the ongoing wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles.
"You've gotta be kidding me," Applegate said on the Tuesday, January 14 episode of their "MeSsy" podcast. "F****** people who are saying that it's, you know, good. It's Hollywood and those stupid Hollywood people."
Applegate pointed out that Los Angeles is a diverse city with a wide range of residents, including many who are not celebrities. "We're a small portion of the city," she said. "This is a city of people that are working their a**es off at fast food chains or, you know, f****** builders and painters."
She added that it is "real sick" for people to say they are glad the fires are happening. "I'm not liking that whatsoever," she said, adding that she's "tuned out" those comments but felt the need to publicly address them.
"There's thousands of other people that literally have no idea where they will begin," Sigler chimed in. "And we have to hold both of them in our hearts."
Applegate revealed that she and her 13-year-old daughter Sadie have already had to evacuate their home for several days due to the fires. "I just have a backpack . . . the important papers and things that mean something to you," she said.
Sigler shared that she would bring important papers, her SAG Award, and artwork from her children in the event of an evacuation.
The Los Angeles wildfires have left 24 dead and at least 23 people missing. They continue to burn after initially starting on January 7.
