AceShowbiz - The year 2025 kicked off with a bang for "The Real Housewives of Dubai" fans, but not the kind they were expecting. Caroline Brooks, one of the show's controversial figures, took to social media platform X/Twitter to unleash her thoughts on the show's unexpected "pause" and her experiences with her former co-stars.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Wish you all happiness and good health. I know a lot of my former castmates are struggling to stay relevant after #RHODubai was canceled...if you're true fans please be sure to keep making them feel famous. I'm loving my private, quiet life."
Brooks insisted she wasn't upset about the show's suspension, labeling it as both "toxic" and "overly orchestrated." Reflecting on the experience, she remarked that authenticity, a vital element in reality TV, was noticeably absent.
"Honestly, I'm not upset the show was canceled or paused - whatever term you prefer. It felt toxic, overly orchestrated, and many were hiding their true identities. Housewives should be authentic, not forced. I'm grateful for the opportunity, but not the experience. #RHODubai."
The news of the show's pause, confirmed by Brooks, is hardly new for those who have been following the rumors circulating since October. Initially, Brooks' former friend Taleen Marie tried to debunk the rumors about the cancellation, to which Brooks took offense, suggesting Marie was desperate.
"Not sure where all of these #RHODubai rumors are coming from. Bravo hasn't announced anything and our ENTIRE cast hasn't been told anything. So I thought I might share that since there are people 'teasing' and 'debunking' rumors," wrote Brooks at the time. "Just saying it's giving THIRSTY calm down."
When the show's "pause" was finally confirmed, Brooks wasted no time reflecting on her previous posts, stating, "This aged well… 🥂 #RHODubai Ladies, don't debunk things and make false announcements to mislead people. Girls speaking about 'shakeups' and all of the debunking, was.. well.. interesting to watch on my timeline 😄 I TOLD YOU.â€
In the comments, when asked by a fan if the show was truly on pause, Brooks confirmed with, "Yes babe ♥ï¸ðŸ˜Š."
One of the most intriguing aspects of the show's second season was the unexpected alliance between Chanel Ayan and Caroline Stanbury, who were previously at odds.
As viewers await further announcements, the "Real Housewives of Dubai" saga remains a story of disputes and unexpected allies, stirring more drama off-screen than on.
