AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs have been making headlines, especially following his arrest in September on charges related to alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. With his trial set for May 2025, a pile of sexual assault lawsuits with one dragging Jay-Z, and surging public outrage, a lot of Diddy's celebrity peers distanced themselves from him. Among them is Will Smith, who recently addressed rumors about his association with the Bad Boy founder.
During a set at The Observatory in San Diego, Smith sought to put an end to the speculation. "I don't have s*** to do with Puffy, so y'all can stop all the memes," he said, clarifying that their relationship has never been close despite what internet gossip suggests.
Smith firmly denied attending any of Diddy's notorious "freak offs" - alleged drug-fueled sex parties - and emphasized that he's not a fan of baby oil. He stressed that he has his own issues to manage without being dragged into someone else's controversies. "I usually don't respond to d*mba** stuff," he added. "But that one, your memes was doing too much."
This declarative stance comes on the heels of accusations from Gene Deal, Diddy's former bodyguard, who has tried to implicate Smith in the unfolding scandal. Deal suggested there was a tape featuring Will Smith from Diddy's party.
Smith and Diddy did have a longstanding connection dating back to the 90s, with proof such as photos of them at events like the 1997 MTV Movie Awards and the 1998 Grammys. Additionally, Smith's attendance at a Diddy party in Miami in 2004 has been highlighted. However, Smith's recent comments vehemently dispute any deeper involvement with the troubled music mogul.
Diddy's legal team has been equally vocal in defense, categorically denying all damning allegations against the incarcerated star. "These complaints are full of lies," they stated to TMZ Hip Hop. "We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who filed fictional claims against him."
As Diddy's trial approaches, the public and media scrutiny remain intense. For now, Will Smith is making it clear that he wants no part in the chaotic situation, urging his fans to focus their attention elsewhere.
