AceShowbiz - Bryce Dallas Howard has a long-held desire to collaborate professionally with her acclaimed father, Ron Howard. She revealed her aspirations during a panel at Steel City Con in Pennsylvania.

Growing up on her father's film sets, Bryce fondly recalls spending time with him and experiencing the creative process firsthand. Despite serving as an extra in some of his projects, she has not yet had the opportunity to work with him in a substantial role.

"When I was like seven, I was an extra, but I've never worked with him professionally as an actor, with dialogue and all of that," Bryce said. "But I want to. I want to very badly. And I would always sort of harass him about it. And now I'm like, 'Let's talk, dude.' "

As the oldest of four children, Bryce often accompanied her father to movie sets. She appreciated the opportunity to learn and observe, sharing memories of trying on the costumes from "Splash" and "Cocoon."

Reflecting on her childhood experiences, Bryce expressed gratitude for the insights she gained: "I felt so lucky to have had that experience. For a few reasons. One is I'm the oldest of four, and so I wanted to be on set, and so it just made it easier, one less kid for my mom to be wrangling during the day. So I was really kind of tagging along with him."

Ron Howard's impressive filmography includes "Splash," "Parenthood," "Apollo 13," "The Da Vinci Code," and "Solo: A Star Wars Story." Bryce has also made her mark in both film and television, with notable roles in "The Village," "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," and the "Jurassic World" franchise.

Bryce has also ventured into directing, following in her father's footsteps. She has helmed episodes of "The Mandalorian," "The Book of Boba Fett," and the upcoming "Skeleton Crew" for the "Star Wars" franchise. Additionally, she made her feature directorial debut with the 2022 documentary "Dads."

Despite her parents' initial reluctance to allow her to pursue acting at a young age, Bryce has gone on to achieve remarkable success. She remains determined to collaborate with her father on a film project, eager to share the experience of working alongside the legendary filmmaker who has been both her mentor and inspiration throughout her career.
