Emmy-winning comedian Dana Carvey will make his return to 'Saturday Night Live' in December and weighs in on his Elon Musk impression after the tech mogul's criticism.

AceShowbiz - Dana Carvey, who spent seven seasons on the sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1993, recently confirmed on his podcast, "Superfly", that he will be rejoining the "SNL" cast next month. "I'm going back in December," Carvey said. "You see me come off the stage, just remember, within seconds, I will be skipping for quite a while."

This season, Carvey went viral with his impersonations of President Joe Biden and Elon Musk, but he admitted that his Elon Musk impression could use some work. "I can't do Elon Musk very well," he conceded. "He has an incredible accent - South Africa via Canada, via Pennsylvania. It's almost like, it's a little bit of Australian in there, a little bit of British, but he's not totally that."

Musk himself previously criticized Carvey's portrayal, claiming the comic sounded nothing like him. Musk's criticism didn't stop at Carvey's portrayal but also extended to the show itself. He tweeted, "SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality." He further criticized the show, stating, "Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further."

Amid the criticism, Carvey did not specify who he would be impersonating when he returns to the show. With ongoing political and social events, Carvey is likely to have ample material for his comedic sketches when "Saturday Night Live" resumes on December 7 with host Paul Mescal and musical guest Shaboozey.
