The 'Good Luck, Babe!' songstress receives mixed responses, including negative ones, from social media users after treating them to a photo of her without face paint.

AceShowbiz - Chappell Roan has treated social media users to a new picture. After sharing the photo with the world, the "Good Luck, Babe!" songstress received mixed responses, including negative ones, from many.

On Thursday, November 21, the 26-year-old singer/songwriter, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, made use of her Instagram page to upload the never-before-seen snap. In the photo, it could be seen that she was striking a pose in front of a white backdrop.

Chappell was looking straight at the camera while showing a stoic facial expression. Instead of flashing her radiant smile, she opened her mouth a little. She was wearing a blue top that came with a V-neck design.

Chappell ditched face paint that she usually has when she performs onstage. Though so, she still put on bold makeup, including glossy dark red lipstick, dramatic eyeshadow, black eyeliner, long lashes and pink blush on her cheeks. In addition, her red curly hair was let loose.

Along with the picture, Chappell wrote in the caption of the post, "Ope my swag just got turned on hhahaha damn. HMU me," adding a hundred emoji. Near the end of the caption, she also revealed that the photo was taken by photographer Ryan Clemens.

It did not take long for the snap to be reposted by a blog on X, formerly known as Twitter. The blog tweeted, "Chappell Roan looks gorgeous in new photo." It prompted X users to voice their opinions on the picture.

While some showered Chappell with praise, others likened the photo to a mugshot. One in particular wrote, "Why I thought this was a mugshot," adding a slew of crying face emojis. Similarly, another chimed in, "This looks like a really glamorous mugshot of a bank robber chick from the '40s."

Meanwhile, a third stated, "She looks so normal and boring without make up." A fourth complained, "Explain what your definition of 'gorgeous' is? Because this certainly isn't it. Plus she'll probably be offended by this since she's offended by literally everything."
