AceShowbiz - Skai Jackson continues to feel herself despite recent reports regarding her baby daddy Deondre Burgin. Seemingly unfazed by her boyfriend's recent arrest, the actress has instead flaunted her pregnancy glow in a new selfie.
On Friday, November 15, the soon-to-be first-time mom took to her Instagram page to share the never-before-seen image. It featured a close-up shot of the 22-year-old actress, who wore full makeup with her dark hair styled in loose waves while she was in a car. She simply captioned it with a brown heart emoji.
While Skai had time to update her Instagram feed, she has remained silent on her baby daddy's arrest. On Wednesday afternoon, November 13, Deondre, who is a former inmate, was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio after attempting to flee police.
According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ, Cincinnati police officers tried to arrest Deondre on a juvenile parole violation warrant, but he ran off when confronted by cops and then fell, causing a small cut on his left cheek.
The encounter was caught on video, which saw officers wrestling Deondre to the ground. They put cuffs on him and pinned him down while waiting for backup to arrive. Law enforcement sources confirmed that Deondre was cited for misdemeanor obstruction of official business and has since been released.
Prior to this arrest, Deondre has already had jail record. He reportedly became pen pals with Skai during his time in jail and got bailed out by the former Disney Channel star.
Tasha K was the first to reveal Deondre's troubled past. The blogger claimed that he's already got three kids with three different women. She also posted the video of Deondre's recent encounter with police, during which he was reportedly nearly hit by a car.
Deondre also appeared to shade Skai after she confirmed her pregnancy. "On woop im salty i got this dumb a** Disney Chanel (sic) b***h pregnant I hate this h**," he wrote on Facebook.
Skai and her mother, however, defended him, claiming that his account was hacked. "His page was hacked! He never said this. End of story," the "Jessie" alum responded in the comments section. Her mother additionally insisted, "HE NEVER SAID THIS!!!! Stop being messy!!!"
