In a new interview, Jelly Roll claims foul play in his recent No. 1 album win, alleging that another artist's team tried to manipulate sales to secure their own top spot.

AceShowbiz - Jelly Roll recently achieved his first No. 1 album with "Beautifully Broken". However, he has raised concerns about the fairness of the competition, particularly regarding Charli XCX's "Brat" album, which ultimately placed at No. 3.

During an appearance on ESPN's "Pat McAfee Show", Jelly Roll shared his suspicions without directly naming Charli XCX. He claimed that an undisclosed artist's team attempted to manipulate sales numbers on the eve of the chart cutoff, adding 40,000 albums in a single night.

"It's just real dirty business, like old-school dirty business," Jelly Roll said. He further stated that Luminate, the organization responsible for counting record sales, rejected these sales, which allowed him to secure the No. 1 position. "That's how I ended up with the No. 1 album, so that's the truth," he added.

Despite the controversy, Jelly Roll acknowledged Rod Wave's success, noting that his album was the most streamed out of the three contenders. "As far as I'm concerned, I wanna congratulate Rod Wave on having the No. 1 album," he said.

Jelly Roll's accusations have not been confirmed or denied by Charli XCX's team. Both artists have achieved notable milestones: Jelly Roll is currently on his "Beautifully Broken" tour, while Charli XCX has secured seven Grammy nominations, including for Album of the Year.
