AceShowbiz - In a video shared at the inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on Violence Against Children in Colombia, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stood side by side and addressed the urgency of protecting children online. The couple emphasized the need for meaningful action to combat cyberbullying and support families impacted by social media.
However, body language expert Judy James observed an "awkward and contrived" gesture when Harry put his arm around Meghan. She suggested that this could indicate a conscious effort by the couple to portray unity, despite potential hidden tensions.
James noted that Harry's body language was "resolutely military" until his arm movement, while Meghan appeared "much warmer" and "softer." She also pointed out that Meghan's non-verbal responses to Harry signaled strong ties and a desire to display emotional unity.
Another royal expert, Hugo Vickers, found nothing "unnatural" about the video but agreed that a return to the UK would likely be difficult for the couple, given the ongoing tensions within the royal family. He noted that the British public remains somewhat negative towards Meghan Markle and that Harry has made several critical remarks about his family in recent months.
Despite the speculation about the couple's relationship, they have previously advocated for online safety for children through their Archewell Foundation. They have also launched initiatives to support families dealing with online harm and protect children's mental health in the face of increased social media use.
While the couple's joint appearance may have raised questions about their private dynamics, it also highlighted their continued commitment to addressing important global issues.
