Country singer Zach Bryan drops his new song 'High Road,' reflecting on personal milestones amid the emotional abuse allegations made by his former girlfriend.

AceShowbiz - Zach Bryan has released his new song "High Road" while sharing a heartfelt message with his fans and loved ones. The 28-year-old artist took to Instagram to reveal the inspirations behind his latest track, which came to him after a poignant visit to his mother's gravestone in Oklahoma.

"After not being home for a year and a half I drove out to my mothers [SIC] gravestone in the dead of night a few days back on familiar Oklahoma roads," Bryan wrote.

Reflecting on his personal journey, Bryan visited his late mother to share significant updates about his life, including quitting touring to pursue a master's degree in Paris. He also recounted friendships and memorable nights in New York, a testament to how far he has come in his career.

The emotional depth of "High Road" lies in its chorus, "She's bound to come back and haunt you forever / There's ghosts in the windows and walls / I've waited by the telephone all f****n' night / For someone that ain't ever gonna call."

Bryan confessed to writing the lyrics a couple of months prior, feeling the time was right to share with his audience.

The song came amid the allegations launched by his ex-girlfriend Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia. She accused him of emotional abuse during their year-long relationship, dedicating an episode of her podcast to discussing her experiences, stating, "The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude."

Detailing her ordeal, LaPaglia revealed she was still scared of Bryan, describing how the alleged abuse has left lasting effects on her mental state. She also claimed Bryan attempted to silence her with money in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement, which she refused.

In response, Bryan shared a cryptic Instagram post quoting the late author Jack Kerouac, perhaps alluding to the need for personal explanations amidst public scrutiny. Despite the allegations, Bryan expressed gratitude to his supporters, stating, "Thank you to all the people who love me, who have truly carried the weight with me."

As fans grapple with the revelations, the release of "High Road" showcases Bryan's efforts to channel his struggles into music, offering a glimpse into the pain and growth that shape his artistry.
