AceShowbiz - Zach Bryan was hit with abuse accusation. In a recent episode of the "BFFs" podcast, internet personality Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia accused the country music star of emotional abuse during their relationship.
LaPaglia, 25, divulged the harrowing details of her time with Bryan, 29, marking the first time she opened up about their relationship since Bryan publicly announced their breakup on October 22.
LaPaglia's allegations came as a shock to many, with her describing the past year as the hardest of her life. "The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude," she revealed on the podcast she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.
LaPaglia went on to say, "I'm still scared right now because I'm scared of him," highlighting a cycle of emotional torment where Bryan would "build you up, beat you down, apologize over and over."
In addition to the emotional abuse, LaPaglia claimed that Bryan tried to bribe her into silence with a $12 million nondisclosure agreement, which included a house or a New York apartment. "I went through a literal narcissistic emotional abuse for a year, and he made me believe everything was my fault," she explained. "He isolated me from my whole entire life, he wouldn't let me be who I wanted to be."
LaPaglia emphasized that her refusal to accept Bryan's money was a stand against emotional abuse victims everywhere. "This episode of me not taking the money, like it's not just for me. It's for anyone else who's been emotionally abused," she stated.
The breakup itself was far from amicable. Bryan had announced the split on Instagram, catching LaPaglia off-guard. She expressed her feelings of betrayal and sorrow over his sudden decision to make the breakup public, especially since she had hoped to process the experience privately.
"I just woke up to Zach posting on his Instagram that we broke up," she said in a YouTube video. "How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded in a few days?"
While Bryan has remained largely silent on the allegations, focusing instead on his music and upcoming masters in Paris, LaPaglia remains vocal about her experiences, urging others facing similar situations to seek help and stand strong.
"I don't want your money, bro," she declared. "I'm a lot stronger than a weak man. F*** you, f*** your money."
LaPaglia's brave disclosures shed light on the often hidden issue of emotional abuse in relationships, especially those involving public figures. Her story serves as a powerful reminder that emotional abuse is a grave matter, one that victims should not have to endure in silence.
