AceShowbiz - Perrie Edwards shows off her skills in singing on her latest single. A little over one month after launching "You Go Your Way", the former Little Mix member released a new song titled "Me, Myself and You".
On Friday, November 8, the 31-year-old English singer, who won the eighth series of "The X Factor" alongside the girl group, unveiled the track on various music streaming platforms. Aside from the song, which is a piano-led ballad, she released a video of the live performance via YouTube.
In the beginning of the single, Perrie sings, "You're darkest part of me/ The reason why it's hard to breathe/ Stealin' words before I speak, mm-mm/ You love to show up unannounced/ Take my hand up to the clouds/ Then you're the one to talk me down/ And back again."
Perrie goes on to sing, "I keep running in circles, there's never an end/ Why does it hurt if it's all in my head?/ It's always been me, myself and you/ A piece of me that I don't get to choose/ You're in every lonely night/ I can't get you off my mind/ It's always been me, myself and you/ No mattеr how I try to cut you loose/ You're always holdin' on too tight, I/ I guess you'rе a part of me for life."
After dropping the song, Perrie received positive online responses from her listeners. One in particular gushed, "Her voice is so unique. This song makes me cry like a little baby 'cause I have anxiety since five years ago. I'm tears right now."
Another chimed in, "Now it'll be just Me, Myself and this song. Such a beautiful warmth are wrapped up with love and emotions. LOVE is an understatement to the song." A third marveled, "Holy molly this should be on charts everywhere. motherrrr ate."
Perrie announced "Me, Myself and You" on Wednesday, November 6 via Instagram. Along with the cover art, she wrote, "My gift to you until the next single! 'Me, Myself & You' is coming this Friday! This song holds a very special place in my heart. The live session premieres on @youtube at 8 A.M. GMT Friday."
