AceShowbiz - Kai Cenat and DDG seemingly found out about Halle Bailey's scathing social media post during their joint livestream. A portion of Kai's live went viral as Internet sleuths believed that it captured the moment Kai asked DDG about Halle's tweet, in which she disapproved of her ex bringing their son on the livestream.
In the clip, Kai could be seen asking, "What does this mean?" while pointing at his computer screen. DDG, who had his and Halle's son Halo on his lap, then squinted his eyes to see better. There was a moment of silence before the two quickly changed the topic.
In the said tweet, Halle condemned her YouTuber ex for taking their 10-month-old child to Kai's livestream. "hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don't approve of my baby being on a stream tonight," she wrote on X on Wednesday night, November 6.
"The Little Mermaid (2023)" actress added that she's "extremely upset" by DDG's decision, noting, "i wasn't told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people." She concluded, "i am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn't notified especially when i am out of town."
Internet users, meanwhile, appeared to take DDG's side in this situation. "This is his baby as well , I can understand if we didn't see his face already," one person commented in an Instagram post by Hollywood Unlocked. Another reminded Halle, "You had a baby by a streamer. Lol."
Some others slammed Halle for making it everyone's business. "Why she ain't call him instead of tweeting it," one questioned, with someone else writing, "Call him .. we don't need a tweet explaining your non approval." Another pointed out, "She has 9.1 million followers and post him all the time.. what's the problem?"
However, one person understood why Halle was frustrated. "I'm not sure why she is being attacked. They should mutually agree to his 'appearances'," the person opined. However, the person agreed that the Chloe X Halle singer should have told DDG in private, saying, "Yet, we didn't need the details on her frustration. Everything isn't our business. Tell him off in private, protect your peace publicly."
Halle and DDG welcomed their first child in December 2023. The couple, who had been dating for 3 years, later shocked everyone when the rapper announced their split just 10 months later.
