AceShowbiz - Bowen Yang and Chappell Roan have put to rest any lingering rumors of conflict between them. During the "Saturday Night Live" goodnights on Saturday's episode, the pair held hands and shared an embrace, officially dismissing any fan-created speculation.
The duo initially connected when Yang chatted with Roan for Interview magazine earlier this year. The two artists exchanged compliments, with Yang expressing his admiration for Roan's talent and Roan expressing gratitude for his validation.
However, drama arose when Yang later performed a sketch on "Weekend Update" as the viral sensation Moo Deng the hippo. In the sketch, Yang discussed the challenges of sudden fame and the need for boundaries, prompting some of Roan's fans to accuse Yang of mocking the singer, who had made similar statements about protecting her mental health.
However, Yang clarified on Instagram that the sketch was meant to show support for Roan, stating, "If my personal stance and the piece aren't absolutely clear in terms of supporting her, then there it is I guess."
Despite the alleged frictions, Yang and Roan have remained steadfast in their support for each other. Their heartwarming interaction during the "SNL" goodnights and their praise for one another demonstrate the genuine friendship that exists between them.
