Comedian John Mulaney hosted 'Saturday Night Live', poking fun at his rehab stint and sharing heartfelt moments about his family life during the latest episode filled with laughter and surprises.

AceShowbiz - John Mulaney took the stage at "Saturday Night Live" with a bang, blending humor and personal anecdotes in his opening monologue. The comedian lightheartedly revisited his time in a Pennsylvania rehab facility in 2020.

Recalling a poignant conversation with his father, he noted, "And he was trying to think of something wise to say. And at one point he goes, 'I just wish grandpa were here.' I said, 'Dad, if grandpa were here, he would be 118 years old, and I highly doubt he would have good advice about handling social media backlash.' "

Mulaney's humor wasn't all self-deprecating; he also cracked a joke about parenting and living with his half-Asian wife and in-law, adding a touch of charm. "We have a five-week-old baby girl. And I have a two-year-old son. My wife takes care of the five-week-old and I take the two-year-old, and that's not fair. That's not an equal distribution of labor at all," he joked.

He poked fun at his family over their heights. "I have a baby. I look down at her. I have a two-year-old son, he's 34 inches tall. I also live with his mother, my wife, she's half Chinese Vietnamese. She is four. Her mother who lives with us is full Chinese Vietnamese. She is two feet tall and we have a wonderful nanny from the Philippines who helps us out all she is negative one feet tall," he said.

The night was also filled with engaging sketches. One standout was the musical skit, "Port Authority Duane Reade," featuring a surprise appearance by "SNL" alum Pete Davidson. In this sketch, Davidson and "SNL" comedian Andrew Dismukes played travelers at a New York bus terminal. When Davidson asked Mulaney's character for a gallon of milk, Kenan Thompson and Ego Nwodim, dressed as possums, burst into a twisted version of "Circle of Life."

Moreover, Andy Samberg made a cameo as a dead baby bear left in Central Park, while the skit culminated with everyone singing to the tune of "We Go Together" from "Grease".

Musical guest Chappell Roan added to the lively atmosphere with performances of "Pink Pony Club" and "The Giver."

This episode of "SNL" showcased Mulaney's unique ability to blend personal stories with comedy, making for an engaging and enjoyable night of television that resonated with audiences.
