AceShowbiz - "Supernatural" alums Ruth Connell and Rob Benedict have announced their engagement. Benedict confirmed the news during a panel at the Salute to The Boys convention in New Jersey, referring to Connell as "my fiancee."
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Benedict revealed that the pair secretly got engaged earlier in the year, just before welcoming their daughter Margaret Vivian into the world on January 12. The ring was designed by New York designer Sophie Ratner.
Connell spent six seasons on "Supernatural" as Rowena MacLeod, a witch and the mother of Mark Sheppard's Crowley, who eventually became the Queen of Hell. Benedict recurred throughout the series' 15-season run as Chuck Shurley, a prophet later revealed to be God in disguise.
The couple's engagement follows a year of significant milestones, including Margaret's birth and Benedict's 54th birthday. Connell, 45, has expressed the couple's excitement and anticipation for their upcoming adventure together.
Connell and Benedict join a growing list of "Supernatural" cast members who have found love within the show's extended family. Jared Padalecki met his wife Genevieve Cortese, on set in 2008, and DJ Qualls and Ty Olsson announced their engagement earlier this year after meeting at a fan convention.
