AceShowbiz - Going wild might be a brand for Travis Scott (II)'s fans. A report claimed that concertgoers at the rapper's "Circus Maximus" concert in Melbourne, Australia went out of control even before the show started.
In footage obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, fans could be seen acting extremely reckless by trying to tear down the steel barricades while waiting in line. Some others, meanwhile, were seen throwing objects at one another.
Another clip also featured fans running toward the stage before being tackled by security. It was said that police were on standby outside of Marvel Stadium during the concert, which is named the highest selling rap tour ever.
Internet users quickly criticized fans' behavior upon watching the clip. "Travis Scott loves this chaos… why do people go to his concerts," one said on TikTok. Another commented, "very clearly he does not give a crap about his fans it's blatantly obvious. Travis Scott has a massive ego problem thinking he better than his fans at this stage."
A fan, however, shared his contrasting experience attending Travis' concert, saying, "I went to the Sydney 2nd night concert, I'm 52 taking 3 teenage boys, it was nothing like this at all! calm and organised, excellent night, Travis was great!"
Referring to the fatal incident at Travis' "Astroworld" concert back in November 2021. "nah imma be honest, I would've gone if it wasn't for what happened in America a few years back and how travis treated the whole situation," the person said.
The said incident, taking place at the rapper's show in Houston, Texas, killed eight fans due to a fatal crowd crush. Two more died in hospital days later. According to the Harris County medical examiner's office, the cause of death to be compressive asphyxiation while the manner of death was ruled an accident.
