AceShowbiz - During a Q&A session at Knott's Scary Farm, Cassandra Peterson, famously known as Elvira Mistress of the Dark, shared her most unforgettable celebrity meeting - and not in a good way. When asked about her worst celebrity interaction, Peterson humorously hinted at the name by saying it rhymed with "Pariana Mande." The audience quickly caught on that she was referring to Ariana Grande.
Peterson recounted the events, saying, "She came [to my show] and she brought 20 guests. So she wanted 20 or 21 tickets and we were like, 'Okay!' and we gave her the tickets." Eager to oblige, Peterson invited Grande and her entourage backstage. The pop star then asked Elvira to take pictures with her friends and family, a request Peterson happily fulfilled.
"So I take a picture with every single one of them," Peterson recalled. "I sign autographs for every single one of them." However, when Peterson asked Grande if they could take a photo together, she was met with an unexpected reply.
According to Peterson, Grande declined, saying, "No, I don't really do that," mimicking Grande's valley girl accent. To make matters worse, Peterson added that Grande left before the show began, though her guests stayed.
Tom Vanucci, Elvira's former show director, confirmed the account, saying, "It's all true!" To add a humorous twist, the session moderator, Jeff Tucker, quipped that Grande was "playing the wrong witch," alluding to her role as Glinda the "Good Witch" in the upcoming Wicked film.
This wasn't the first time Elvira has openly shared her thoughts on the behavior of other celebrities. In 2022, Peterson subtly shaded Kylie Jenner after the reality star dressed as her iconic character for Halloween but did not give her any credit.
"I didn't get a heads up that Kylie was doing the costume, but she did the costume justice and it was very flattering," Peterson told TMZ at the time. "It would have been even more flattering if she tagged me," she added sarcastically, later posting a meme comparing her original look to Jenner's version, captioned, "In a world full of Kardashians be an Elvira."
Elvira, who has always been known for her candidness, seems to have taken these encounters in stride. Yet, her revelations serve as a reminder that even in the realm of glitter and gore, not all that glitters is positive.
