
At New York Comic Con, DC Studios co-head James Gunn reveals four new actors joining the cast of the upcoming DC Studios animated series, 'Creature Commandos'.

AceShowbiz - At New York Comic Con, DC Studios co-head James Gunn unveiled the latest trailer for the Max adult animated series, "Creature Commandos", which will be the first series set in the new DC Universe. The footage showcased an extended look at the team, led by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) and comprised of monsters incarcerated in the Non-Human Internment Division.
In addition to previously announced cast members like David Harbour, Zoe Chao and Sean Gunn, the series will welcome four new additions, Michael Rooker, Linda Cardellini, Peter Serafinowicz and Benjamin Byron Davis.
Rooker is a frequent collaborator of Gunn, having appeared in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy and "The Suicide Squad". Cardellini has worked with Gunn on the "Scooby-Doo" live-action films and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3". Serafinowicz, known for his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and Shaun of the Dead, also joins the cast. Davis, best known for his portrayal of Dutch van der Linde in the Red Dead Redemption games, is another regular collaborator of Gunn.
The series will delve into the origins of the characters, showcasing their terrifying pasts and complex motivations. Tudyk, who voices Dr. Sartorius, described the show as emotionally charged, featuring moments of shock, horror, laughter, and revulsion.
"Creature Commandos", written and executive produced by James Gunn, follows a secret team of incarcerated monsters undertaking dangerous missions. The seven-episode series is executive produced by Peter Safran, Dean Lorey and Sam Register, with Rick Morales serving as supervising producer. It will premiere on Max on December 5.
