AceShowbiz - Tia Mowry has found solace in her family during a challenging time in her life. On the October 18 episode of "Tia Mowry: My Next Act", the actress struggled with planning her 6-year-old daughter Cairo's birthday party.
Mowry, who shares 13-year-old son Cree with ex-husband Cory Hardrict, admitted she missed her loved ones. "Jerome is my cousin, but he's like my best friend," she said about her cousin Jerome Wiggins. "He is my anchor slash therapist."
Wiggins rushed to Mowry's side, offering support and comfort. The actress expressed her gratitude for his unwavering presence. "It means everything to me that Jerome can drop everything and come right by my side," she said. "I really need family right now."
Mowry's closeness with Wiggins stems from their shared childhood. "I was so close to Jerome's mother because she was like another mother to me," she revealed. "Whenever I needed family, she would come."
Mowry's comments about family come amid ongoing discussions about her relationship with her twin sister, Tamera Mowry. In a trailer for "Tia Mowry: My Next Act," Tia expressed her wish that they were still close. However, she later clarified that their distance is due to physical distance rather than estrangement.
"As we grow up, we all start our own families," Tia explained. "We begin to take on new roles and responsibilities."
Despite the distance, Tia emphasized her love and connection with Tamera. "I love my sister very much," she said. "We have a closeness and a beautiful connection. But that's what that was all about. It's just how life unfolds."
"Tia Mowry: My Next Act" airs on WeTV Fridays at 9:30 P.M. ET.
