AceShowbiz - Will Smith and Michael Bay, the dynamic duo behind the first "Bad Boys" movie, are eyeing a major comeback with the new Netflix action film, "Fast and Loose".

Nearly 30 years after the Bad Boys franchise was first launched, Bay is in final negotiations to direct a new feature, which will star Smith in a lead role. The movie promises to be an electrifying ride, following a man who wakes up in Tijuana with no memory and soon discovers he has been living dual lives: one as a crime kingpin and the other as an undercover CIA agent.

The script for "Fast and Loose" has been penned by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner, and Eric Pearson. This thrilling storyline has piqued the interest of Smith, who has been developing the project for some time, especially after the runaway success of "Bad Boys: Ride or Die", which grossed $400 million globally.

Kelly McCormick and David Leitch from 87North will produce the film along with Smith. Westbrook Studios, led by Co-President and Head of Motion Pictures Jon Mone and Ryan Shimazaki, are also in negotiations to produce, along with James Lassiter. Executive producers for the project include Robert Simonds and Noah Fogelson from STXfilms, as well as Barry Waldman.

The partnership of Smith and Bay dates back to 1995 when they first collaborated on "Bad Boys", Bay's feature directorial debut. The film was a commercial success and solidified Smith's reputation as a box office draw, leading to three sequels.

Since then, Bay has directed major franchises such as "Transformers" and successful Netflix films like "6 Underground" and "Ambulance". He is also currently developing other projects, including the animated internet meme "Skibidi Toilet" for TV and film and his first docuseries, "Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior".

Smith, who recently earned an Oscar for his role in "King Richard", keeps busy with various high-profile projects. He just starred in Apple's "Emancipation" and is set to appear in Sony Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Resistor", based on Daniel Suarez's novel "Influx". With both A-listers primed for this new venture, "Fast and Loose" is shaping up to be a blockbuster that's hard to ignore.
