AceShowbiz - Drake apparently does not want Kendrick Lamar to belt out "Not Like Us" at the upcoming Super Bowl. The "Hotline Bling" hitmaker allegedly has been trying to stop his nemesis from performing the successful diss track against him.
Revealing the news was Wack 100, who discussed the matter with a group of people. Wack 100, whose real name is Cash Jones, claimed that the 37-year-old Canadian hip-hop artist served Kendrick a cease and desist "so that he can't perform" the song at the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
The music manager/record executive then received a question about what would happen if Kendrick, who is also famous as K.Dot, decided to deliver the song despite the cease and desist. In response, he stated, "He's tryna get the NFL to restrict Kendrick."
A voice recording, in which Wack 100 made the revelation, was uploaded by a blog on Instagram. It prompted social media users to voice their thoughts on the matter. In the comments section, one in particular wrote, "Drake begged that man to drop. he did & well... his lost, his fault, his problem!"
Another penned, "He don't have to perform it, the audience will!!!" Similarly, a third suggested, "Just play the beat and let the crowd perform it then. no way he gettin away that eazy." A fourth stated, "All Kendrick will do is replace Drake's name in the song." Meanwhile, a fifth argued, "This wouldn't be the first time he did that. Drake is so fragile."
The revelation came after it was announced that K.Dot will perform on February 9, 2025 at the iconic Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The rapper, who co-founded pgLang with Dave Free, will work with the creative company to direct his Super Bowl performance. He shared, "Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."
Kendrick, who dropped "Not Like Us" on May 4, performed the Drake diss track live for the first time at his epic "Pop Out: Ken & Friends" concert. At the show, which was held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on June 19, he delivered the song five times, leaving the packed audience excited.
