Jenna Dewan, 43, recently returned to the set of "The Rookie" for the first time since welcoming her third child, Rhiannon, in June. The actress, who plays firefighter Bailey Nune, was excited to be back in action despite the challenges of working while pregnant.
Dewan admitted that she initially hesitated to let her eldest daughter, Everly, 11, watch "The Rookie" due to its intense action scenes. However, after Everly expressed her interest, Dewan decided to let her see the show, starting with an episode where Bailey is trapped in a tank filling up with water.
Everly was initially horrified by the scene, but Dewan reassured her that she was safe. "She's like, 'This is so good. But Mom, that was really scary,' " Dewan said.
Meanwhile, Jenna's brother-in-law, Eric Roberts, offered a candid review of his sister Julia Roberts' performance in "Steel Magnolias". While praising Julia's acting in "Mystic Pizza" and "Pretty Woman", Eric said she "wasn't so much" in "Steel Magnolias", despite the film earning Julia her first Academy Award nomination.
Despite Eric's criticism, Jenna has had a successful run on "The Rookie" since joining in Season 3. She credits the show's supportive cast and crew for making her work experience enjoyable, even while pregnant.
