AceShowbiz - Tate McRae has treated her fans to a music video for her latest single titled "It's Ok I'm Ok". In the newly-released visuals, the "You Broke Me First" singer is seen getting arrested by cops after nearly stripping down to her birthday suit.
On Thursday, September 12, the 21-year-old Canadian singer and dancer launched the official MV of "It's Ok I'm Ok" on YouTube. In the beginning of the 3-minute clip, it can be seen that she is sitting down on a portable chair and sipping her drink from a cup. Behind her is a truck, which is covered with a massive printed image of a beach.
The short footage also features a scene where the "She's All I Wanna Be" songstress is arrested by police officers on the side of a busy New York City street. The officers are documented trying to handcuff her before putting her inside a police car.
Tate appears to have ditched her top and pants, rocking only a pair of black boots and a cop's hat. She also dons a pair of earrings and a diamond necklace. Before she is placed inside the car, one of the officers wrapped a "POLICE" jacket on her body.
Later on, Tate escapes and gets out of the car. She quickly runs towards a building that is packed with her fans, who are holding big signs and cheering on the star. She then trades the jacket for a sparkling silver top and a pair of gold undies as she appears among the fans and photographers.
That same day, Tate unleashed "It's Ok I'm Ok" through RCA Records. On the song, which serves as the lead single to her upcoming third studio album, she sings, "See you so excited (Mm)/ You got him locked down (Yeah)/ You're movin' like I did (Mm)/ Before I found out/ He ain't just a pretty-faced talker/ Good with his money, close to his mother/ You're seeing one-sided (Sided)/ You got him right now."
Tate adds, "And she be like, 'He's so perfect'/ I be like, 'Oh, what version?'/ 'Ain't nobody got me this nervous'/ Oh, baby, I been there (Hey)/ You're right in that same position (Hey)/ So, baby, don't get this twisted (Hey)/ No, nothin' could make me miss it/ Take him, he's yours."
