'Saturday Night Live' Welcomes Three New Cast Members for 50th Season

The long-running NBC comedy show celebrates its golden anniversary with the addition of Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline to its cast for its upcoming season 50.

AceShowbiz - "Saturday Night Live" is set to welcome three new featured players for its upcoming 50th season. Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline join the NBC late-night show's ensemble for 2024-25.

Season 50 will premiere on September 28 with most of last season's cast returning. However, Punkie Johnson, Molly Kearney and Chloe Troast will not be back.

Returning veterans include Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker, who have been promoted to the main cast. Maya Rudolph will also reprise her role as Vice President Kamala Harris.

To commemorate the anniversary, a special three-hour primetime special will air on February 16, 2025. The actual 50th anniversary of "SNL" 's debut is October 11, 2025.

Ashley Padilla has appeared on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Night Court". Wakim's stand-up credits include ""The Tonight Show" and the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Jane Wickline is part of the TikTok sketch show "Stapleview".

Meanwhile, Jason Reitman's film "Saturday Night", which depicts the show's early days, recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
