The former 'The View' co-host reveals her reluctance to appear on reality TV shows, including the ABC dancing competition show, due to her political ambitions.

AceShowbiz - Meghan McCain has turned down multiple offers to compete on "Dancing with the Stars", citing her political aspirations as the primary reason. On her "Citizen McCain" podcast, McCain stated that she has been approached three times to participate in the dance competition but declined each invitation.

She explained that she lacks dancing abilities and prefers not to subject herself to public ridicule. McCain also expressed her belief that reality TV participation is incompatible with her plans to seek political office in the future. "You can't do both," she emphasized. "You just can't. It's just not serious."

Despite the financial incentives presented by reality shows, McCain remains adamant that her political ambitions outweigh any potential monetary benefits. Her friend, Clay Aiken, who participated in "The Masked Singer", reportedly earned a substantial amount of money during his stint on the show. However, McCain believes that developing a marketable skill or talent would be more beneficial to her long-term goals.

McCain's aversion to reality TV also stems from her belief that it would damage her credibility as a political candidate. While she acknowledges that other politicians and their children have competed on "Dancing with the Stars", she insists that her own involvement would be inappropriate given her aspirations.

Despite her rejections, McCain remains open to the possibility of competing in a reality competition show in the future if she falls into dire financial straits. However, she maintains that her primary focus remains on pursuing a career in politics.
