AceShowbiz - Over a decade after its original release, Travis Scott (II) has finally unveiled the official music video for his beloved track "Drugs You Should Try It" from his acclaimed mixtape, "Days Before Rodeo".
The video opens with a tribute to the late Virgil Abloh, featuring a neon-lit smoking cowboy sign Abloh designed for Scott's "Rodeo Tour" in 2015. Scott then embarks on a surreal journey, free-falling into a pool of despair and allowing his mind to drift into the depths of his consciousness.
The visual complements the mixtape's title and explores Scott's Southern upbringing and his love for partying. It showcases Western classics, chaotic party scenes, and merchandise inspired by Scott's nocturnal adventures.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Days Before Rodeo", Scott released the song's video alongside a deluxe edition featuring five previously unreleased tracks. The mixtape has been re-released on streaming services and is expected to perform well on Billboard 200.
Scott partnered with Cactus Plant Flea Market for a "Free Thugger" hoodie, and the video features subtle nods to his tour merchandise. While the song encourages a raver lifestyle, Scott respects viewers' sobriety.
