AceShowbiz - The official "Sonic the Hedgehog" TikTok account has ignited excitement among fans with a cryptic tease. In a clip from the first movie, Sonic enthusiastically proclaims Keanu Reeves a "national treasure" while watching "Speed" (1994), in which Reeves stars. The post is aptly titled "foreSHADOWing."

This tease aligns with previous reports from April that Reeves had been cast as Shadow. While Paramount has yet to make an official announcement, the TikTok video strongly suggests it. With the release date of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" set for December 20, it's likely that a trailer will drop soon to reveal Shadow in action.

Shadow's presence was teased in the end credits scene of "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", sending fans into a frenzy of speculation. Very little is known about the film's plot, but it is rumored to draw inspiration from the 2001 video game "Sonic Adventure 2", which introduced Shadow.

In the meantime, Sega has been building hype for Shadow's upcoming appearance. "Sonic x Shadow Generations" will release in October, featuring a remastered Sonic game and a new title centered around Shadow. LEGO is also producing a large-scale build set of Shadow's head.

Alongside returning cast members Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog), Jim Carrey (Dr. Robotnik), Colleen O'Shaughnessey (Tails) and Idris Elba (Knuckles), "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" welcomes Krysten Ritter in an undisclosed role. The success of previous Sonic films, the enthusiastic fan base, and the addition of Reeves as Shadow have set the stage for another blockbuster release.
