AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie may be dealing with what other moms experience when caring for their ill children. The 2000 Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress is reportedly left feeling "frazzled" and "fretting" in the aftermath of her son Pax's e-bike accident.
The mother of six is understandably feeling anxious as Pax suffered serious head trauma and a hip injury following the crash and he faces a long road of recovery. "He's out of the ICU but not out of the woods," sources told RadarOnline.com. "Pax suffered serious head trauma and a hip injury, so he has a long way to go yet."
Pax got into an accident in Los Angeles on July 29 after he rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a red light. Lola Cavalli, one of the first people to assist Pax, recalled, "He was hit on the head. His mouth was filled with blood."
The 20-year-old was transported to a local hospital with a severe head injury. A so-called insider said, "Pax was banged up. Doctors determined he had a minor brain bleed and a hip injury. He'll have to do lots of physical therapy to get back to where he was."
At the time, Angelina "was shocked and worried when she got the call about the accident," but she remained "brave" for the sake of her son. "Head injuries are so scary, but she had to be brave for his sake. She stayed by his side during the whole ordeal," a source spilled.
As for Brad Pitt's reaction to his son's accident, a source told Daily Mail, "Brad is distraught and worried over Pax's accident, but he is unable to reach him." The source added, "It is very upsetting to Brad whenever he hears of one of the kids being hurt and he feels completely powerless because there is nothing that he can do at all."
The source noted that his kids refuse to take his calls and there's nothing he can do about it. "A father's inclination would be to go to the hospital, or to call him. He's tried so many times but the kids won't take his calls. His hands are tied," the informant claimed.
