AceShowbiz - Candace Owens appeared to have changed her opinion on Lizzo. Despite their rough history, the controversial commentator heaped praise for the "About Damn Time" hitmaker while discussing the latter's weight loss.
In a new episode of her podcast "Candace", the host complimented the songstress for putting in hard work in the gym. "I have to give it to my girl Lizzo. I put pressure on [Lizzo] because I believe in her," she gushed. "I believe Lizzo is incredibly talented… They tried to make fat her brand-and I found that to be very problematic."
Candace then offered Lizzo an olive branch as she said, "Congrats to Lizzo. Unblock me! We can work out together!"
Candace's new comment came a few months after Lizzo fired back at Candace for commenting on her appearance during an appearance on "The Joe Budden Podcast". In the March episode, the right-wing figure and the "Pump It Up" rapper talked about "fat acceptance."
She accused the "Juice" singer of goading people into feeling sorry for her. "I don't like the game that people play where they do something that is so obviously outrageous, like, you know, Lizzo in a thong shaking your a** cheeks," she opined.
"You know what that was. This is a. Disgusting, b. Perverted, and people take their kids to the games. Is there no space that's safe? [And] then she's like, 'if you don't like it, that's your problem.' Like no, you are being problematic," Candace added. "And now you're playing the game where you do something outrageous, and then, when we outrage, you pretend that we're the crazy ones. I'm not dealing with that. Stop gaslighting me, okay?"
In response to the criticism, Lizzo took to her Instagram account to share a video of her lip-syncing to a Reels sound that said, "Hey everyone, it's come to my attention that some of you think I have thick skin. I don't. I never have. I never will. Everything you say deeply, deeply hurts me, affects me, keeps me up at night; you have to be nice to me. That's the deal moving forward, okay?"
The Grammy winner wrote in the caption, "I literally just be minding my business please keep my name out ya mouf unless it's something positive or real.. pls n thank u."
